Privacy Policy
Dualux (“we”, “us”, or “the App”) is a personal image creation tool. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use Dualux and how that information is handled.
1. Summary
Dualux is designed as an on-device tool. Creative projects, notes, voice memos, and Points balances are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a user-content cloud for social sharing or community feeds.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
- Photos you import or capture for creation projects
- Effect parameters, notes, and optional voice memos
- Project metadata such as titles, status, and local timestamps
- Local Points balance and related purchase fulfillment records
- A local on-device profile created when you tap Enter (no password or cloud account)
This information remains on your device unless you export media yourself (for example, saving an image to Photos) or delete the App / local profile data.
3. Permissions
Dualux may request the following device permissions only as needed for features you choose to use:
- Photos: import source images and save exports
- Camera: capture photos for new creation projects
- Microphone: record optional voice notes on creations
- Notifications: optional system permission; core features work without it
- App Tracking Transparency: if prompted by the system for measurement-related identifiers
You can deny or revoke permissions in iOS Settings. Denying a permission disables only the related feature; browsing and core local viewing remain available.
4. Purchases
Consumable Points packs are purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. Payment processing, receipts, and App Store account information are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. Dualux records the local Points credit after a successful purchase.
5. Analytics and Third Parties
Dualux does not provide social, messaging, or public sharing features. We do not sell your personal information. Any platform-level services required for App Store distribution or device OS features are governed by Apple.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Local data remains until you delete projects, clear device data from within the App, or remove the App from your device. Using Delete Account removes the local on-device profile and user project data stored by Dualux on that device.
7. Children’s Privacy
Dualux is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, stop use and delete the App data from the device.
8. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when updates are published.
